Your cake board size can vary depending on the size of your cake and how much space you would like on the board. With that being said, we recommend a cake board that is at least two inches bigger than your cake.
There is no need to cover the board with anything prior to putting the cake on it, however, to help the cake stick to the board, you can use a little bit of icing.
As stated above, the best way to stick a cake to a cake board is by using a little bit of royal icing underneath the cake.
